A Punishment Generator

Recommended Posts

I've just released a new version of PGen (PGen2).

It has been re-written and includes most of the features of the original PGen (the graphics have gone) There are a couple of spanking card games (Including a strip game with punishments) as well as an "offenders" section where punishments can be generated according to previous occurrences of a particular offence.

The link is: punishmentgenerator.com

Constructive comments are welcome.

Thanks

Rick

Thanks for letting me know. I've just unzipped it on a couple of computers using Windows Explorer and it unzips fine. It's possible the file is corrupt, it should be 33,842 KB. I used 7-Zip to compress the file, you could try downloading and using 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org/) to extract it, 7-Zip is free.

If you still have problems I'll upload the file again.

Some users have reported a problem un-zipping the downloaded Pgen file. I have re-zipped it and it should be OK now. However If you are still having problems please contact me via the pgen.me.uk website and I will email you a link to the uncompressed file.

Hi,

Thanks for your comment.

PGen is written in Microsoft Visual Basic and needs the .net to run. You can get it from here:

Ah, thank you. I'm not familiar with anything before C++!

I actually really love this program.  Though I do have 2 questions about how to modify it.  One,,, most importantly,,, is there a way to set severity level for the different offenses?  So that minor offenses get minor punishment, and more serious offenses get more serious/severe punishment?  This is something that would be really great to be able to do.

The next question,,,, is there a way to change the default location where the Saved Slip can be stored in a specific folder?

Thanks for your comments on PGen2.

There is a users forum where you can leave questions and comments. You can access this from the program or from the punishmentgenerator.com website.

In answer to your questions:

1. Is there a way to set severity level for the different offenses?  No, not yet I can add it to the next release. Could you give me aa few more details on how you would like it to be implemented?

2. Is there a way to change the default location where the Saved Slip can be stored in a specific folder? No there isn't. I'll put that capability in the next release.

I'll put these requests on the forum, you can see any updates there.

Well,,, for instance,,, in the "Offences" list, there is the ability to edit any particular offense.  My thought and what I would like to see,,, is having a scale of 1-10, with 1 being the most minor of offense,, and 10 being the greatest offense.  Or even a scale of 1-5.  But for it to work just like it does in society with the courts.  Speeding would be less of an offense than driving while intoxicated.  Here in the US illegal drugs are often like that.  Marijuana being the least and cocaine being much worse.

And with the end user being able to select a particular offense and then select the grade/severity of it.  Such as Laziness and Not Doing Chores being able to be on the same level of severity.  Yet the punishment for those not being near as severe as Illegal Drug Use or Shop Lifting.

I hope this gives you some ideal as to what I'm looking for.  And thanks for the quick response.
