Personally, I’m not fussy. The end a chair, end of a bed, or other locations are fine with me—as long as the setting is private. I do prefer being kept in place by leg scissoring, when a spanking is going to be especially intense.

I don't think that having a preference makes someone fussy. We all have preferences is many aspects of this thing we do. Some spankees like to be leg-locked. Others don't. Either is okay.

Agreed, Chawsee.  Poor choice of words on my part. I meant to say that what the ER sits on doesn’t matter to me. I wasn’t meaning to imply that someone who does is fussy. Your point about preferences is accurate in my experience. We all have them.  I don’t know the origin of many of mine. Some remain unchanged (for example, I’ve like the color blue and orange chocolate since I was very young), while others shift (e.g. hair length/style, favorite wine, tv, movie and musical tastes).

I certainly do have strong preferences related to spanking including a strongly maternal ER,  OTK except for strappings, and being told by the ER what she’s going to do to me and why. I completely agree that most preferences are okay and that fulfilling them when it improves someone’s spanking experience is apt (except, of course, for those preferences that are harmful, abusive, criminal and the like).

Interesing. When my girlfriend started spanking me, she did not like the otk position, precisely because of its childish connotations. She said she was my partner, not my mother. With time she has changed her opinion and she now sometimes spanks me across her knee, which I find very intimate.

Years ago I found these remarks on the Disciplinary Wives Club website: "I never realized until recently how many women felt like me, or indeed how many men appreciate the warmth of the female hand (or worse) on their bare behind. What a lovely post. I consider myself both a wife and mommy when my husband is across my knee. The over knee position has been called the mommy position.

My husband has told me he feels secure when I am spanking him but his thought process changes as his bottom starts to sting unbearably.

When I announce he has earned a spanking,I expect him to address me as mommy. I feel any husband who needs his wife to spank him should do so.But to each his own .

Re tools, the hand is fine, but can hurt the ER if delivering hard spanks and I never noticed the warmth of the hand—only the warmth of my naughty, well spanked bottom).  I favor maternal tools, too, like hair and bath brushes, wooden spoons, and the like.  My favorite (make that my least favorite while being spanked) for OTK remains the paddle, since it has a very memorable impact.  When acting badly, I  have often gotten the belt first while bending over a chair, pillows on the end of the bed, or even standing with my arms against the wall (if my ER was so angry, she didn’t want to wait for me to leave the corner, ouch!).  In my experience, subsequently getting the paddle (which was reserved for serious offenses) hurt a lot worse. Yes,I have an armless lower Victorian style plush hunter Green velvet chair, that my wife uses to spank otk. It's lower than most chairs, so it fits her perfectly ( she's 5'2") I'm 6'1". This enables me to be placed with my buttocks up on her thighs while my legs are elevated off the floor. She'll start with her hand, then switches to the wooden hairbrush. Sixty with that brush has me flopping over her firm thighs. She also has a ladies tawse, I found on eBay. This is a thick split leather about an inch and a half wide and about eleven inches long. It hurts like hell and she can swing it freely full arm as she applies it.

That reminds me, GoodWife22- the best post spanking punishment chairs are like the old milking stools with with shorter legs of 3- 4 inches.  And the stool close in the corner, with you in the corner forces your knees up, so all your weight in on your nicely spanked sit spots.  And of course hands on your head.

I have a wood chair which I adapted for discipline only. I placed several strips of No-Slip tape [which amounts to Sitting on Heavy Duty Low-Grit Sandpaper} across the chair seat. And, I might add,  it has "Done the Trick" many times over.
