  Following up on Handily's query: if as a female 'ee you show visible signs of arousal during a disciplinary spanking, how would you prefer the 'er to react if at all?  -Ex.

Since no one has offered an answer, I'll weigh in from my own experiences.

Some ladies do show signs of arousal.  If it's a disciplinary or maintenance session, I ignore it and continue.  It's never been so messy that I have to put down a towel.

If it's a roleplay spanking or some other type of fun spanking and we have an agreement to mention it (or we have established that type of relationship), I may incorporate it into the role play.  "You seem to be enjoying this.  Do I need to spank harder?"  

 

In short, it varies from person to person.  But generally, for a serious spanking, it's ignored.  There is even a possible exception to that rule.  If a person craves embarrassment as part of a serious spanking, and consents, I may perform a "wetness" check and allow relief before continuing.  But that is the exception, and like I said only with prior consent.

I always get wet during a spanking - whether the intent is disciplinary or erotic or stress relief or just fun. In a disciplinary session or other situation when the spanking is not meant to be erotic, I would expect my partner to just ignore it.

My husband pretty much ignores it when it comes to disciplinary spankings or when I am spanked for stress relief, emotional release or tears. He knows that my sexuality is pretty much spanko. But being aroused doesn't always means it leads to more.

Personally, I prefer that my husband responds as he deems best...which is exactly what he does. I "sometimes" get wet during an OTK bare bottom spanking, but our dynamic is disciplinary. He "has" noticed...and we have discussed this happening now and then. It is actually kind of a "new" development only within the last 4 or 5 years. Thus far, he ignores it completely and continues the discipline...regardless.

We have "experimented" with using OTK as foreplay to sexual intimacy, but it just does not work for us. So....I may be "wet", but my satisfaction from him taking me is denied until it is on his terms, not mine. My disciplinary punishment does not earn me the pleasure of his manhood...at least for awhile.

I often get aroused during spankings. How my spanker reacts just depends on her mood or the circumstances of the spanking. Obviously, I'd prefer it if she brought me to a climax every time but that's not always how it goes. But the spanker is the boss, so it's up to her discretion.

I would usually get really embarrassed and apologize for it, since it would get my spanker's pants wet and leave a spot.  I have heard a physiological explanation for this, whose validity I don't claim to be able to assess.

 It is that when a female anticipates a physical threat she will get moist in order to minimize injury if the assault happens.

There are many things about spanking that turn me on - beyond the physical sensations and pain. I am wet well before the spanking even starts... it is the psychological build-up, the scolding, the sights and sounds. Talking about it excites me. The idea of discipline excites me - not just the actions.

I struggle with this in the sense that I think it leads an ER to believe the spanking is being enjoyed. I can’t stress enough that I absolutely loathe true discipline spankings.

I mean, I enjoy and am turned on by quick spankings for play and fun, but I think that’s more about the power play than the actual spanking itself. True discipline puts me in a headspace of knowing I’ve done wrong and having to face the painful and embarrassing consequences. I don’t at all enjoy that and it’s usually something I want to stop before it’s even fully begun 😂 I can’t help, however, that my body may react to it. Is it the spanking? Is it the loss of control? Is it knowing I have met my match and someone is not going to let me get away with my bs? 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe it’s all of it, or maybe it is as @Handilysuggested and simply a physiological fight or flight response to help minimize potential damage. 
 

Whatever it is, I’d fully expect my ER to ignore it and proceed.

From the ER perspective, and also with some understanding as an EE many years ago, I don't think an ER is in a position to judge what arousal means in that moment. Unless the EE wants it to be recognized, I think the best ER reaction is, it's not my concern or my business.

Arousal does not necessarily mean pleasure, enjoyment, desire to be spanked, or a distraction from the disciplinary focus on what's happening. Anticipation of pain on a sexual area of the body, mixed with anxiety, can stir up a sexual response. After punishment, many people are turned on by and enjoy the residual feelings. The way I see it is that spanking as discipline is made attractive by all these feelings it causes. Admitting it's sexual is not a problem for me. The circumstances and intent shove the sexual component far enough into the background that it becomes irrelevant. The ties to sex do not render spanking ineffective as discipline.

Since I tend to be aroused during hand and hairbrush spankings, I have this discussion with potential ERs as we plan our first session.  I bring it up several times so there is no doubt that this may (and probably will) happen.

I want my ERs to be aware and discuss how he would interpret and react to my arousal.  Especially if we have agreed to be platonic.  Sometimes they place a small towel on their lap.

I always explain that hand and hairbrush spankings are extremely sensual and arousing as I am over his lap feeling a sense of spanking intimacy.  He is spanking my bare bottom after all.  

The arousal is also due to his ER role since he is demonstrating and I am feeling his authority, dominance, and control.

As the spanking proceeds and gets longer and harder, my arousal fades.  Since I am feeling the pain and focused on the actual punishment and my remorse.

I am never aroused while paddled, slippered, or strapped. 

So far, all of my ERs have agreed to accept my arousal as my natural EE spanking reaction and none have either humiliated me nor administered additional punishment.

As EE, I was prone to leaking younger days. If ER had bare legs, she typically welcomed or better to say ignored but if nice outfit a towel was placed if risk (she usually demanded).

As ER many years later, I usually keep gym towel over left shoulder and a few strategically placed nearby. My experience with novice females is typically self conscience about leaving wet spots but once more aquatinted, wet spots make it flow better all good. As ER non relationship, I have never crossed line. A smaller number have kept thong on several months before fully letting go. 

I can’t understand an ER ever being upset at EE for natural reactions. But I do understand dry cleaning bills.
