Spanking :Hand vs implement

Because both have their advantages, as many people have elaborated on this thread, my preference is always to start and end by hand.  Whether I am acting as 'er or 'ee, and no matter how many implements have been used in the middle of the session, I find the most satisfying ending to be over the lap by hand on the punished bottom with the 'ee sobbing repentence. -Ex.

As an ER I have always been fascinated with the hand. I tried implements with my EE but it never lasts more than a few strokes. 
 

there is something about using your hand and a connection you have with your EE. At the same time myself and my EE are not really into severe spankings. 
 

I will give her 10-20 minutes with my hand alone and have her whimpering and begging for me to stop. I like the way I can immediately grab a cheek or rub one in between spanks. 
 

i totally get how people like implements though.

I prefer a mix of both.  Hand spankings if I want something lighter or longer, hand and implement is what I usually prefer, and implement only if I want a hard spanking but don't have much time.

I'd prefer whichever actually hurts, which means not the hand usually (some implements don't actually hurt much either).

My wife has always said she needs the extra reach of an implement to be effective, because I'm larger than she is, and for a number of years she has had bad arthritis in her hands, so I don't get hand spanked. But she also doesn't see much point in wasting time with anything other than the most effective (painful!) implement available. Her only goal is to get me begging for her to stop, and then continue spanking me until I'm as sore as she thinks I deserve!

I don't get punished with spankings, but if it doesn't hurt I don't see the point getting it. I'm not big or muscular, but hand spanking is just never that painful.
