Spanking myself does not give me the same satisfaction as spanking a woman, to answer your question succinctly.

That said, I get excitement out of the act of spanking a woman, both disciplinarily and erotically.  The whole process excites me, not just the smacking of a bottom.  If just smacking something did the trick, I could use a pillow, but it's more than that.

Also, even though I don't get excitement out of spanking myself, I do spank myself, a bit, with any implement I acquire.  I want to know how it feels to the other person (not necessarily how it excites them), as I can then judge their reaction to the pain/thud/sting/impact of the item.

I have been a spanko since I was five years old. I started self spanking with a plastic brush at about 7 years old. Then spanking games with friends the same age. But the routine can play a big part of it, the saying out loud why you’re being punished, sitting nude and writing lines, sitting with your butt raised or in the corner, and THEN, doing the spanking. Having a set number and making each one count. If it’s not a full one, redoing it with two. I’ve made myself cry before, but with willpower. It takes a lot to get to that point.

I don’t let myself get away with anything. If I say 30 strokes, they’re going to be hard, even, and strict. If one isn’t, it’s repeated by two. It takes me a while to get through it, but I always remember the lesson.

At that fundamental level, from a time I was too young to even know what sex is, there are many aspects of it that attract me including authority, justice, humility, and the tangible, not so abstract things about what spanking looks and feels like. I enjoy spanking stories and videos, so I don't even have to be personally involved at all.

Only really do it to either test out an implement to get an idea on how hard to hit and how much it would sting to see the timing in between swats. Self spanking imo has no benefit over being spanked by someone else

I find spanking beautiful women’s bottoms deliciously arousing.  So, for a number of years now, being an ER has been my primary focus.  I have rarely been spanked. When I have, it has been to accommodate the desires of female switches who have really wanted to even the score (so to speak).
