Spanking, Implements, and Pleasure

I recently downloaded an app called SPANKR from the Google Play Store. You provide it with information on the implements you have, the level of pain from each, and the amount of pleasure you get from it. SPANKR will assign a spanking to you based on how much pain versus pleasure you want in the spanking, number of peaks (more equals a longer spanking), etc.

It, of course, had me thinking about the implements I use and how much pleasure they give me. Do you have implements that you find give you more pleasure during the spanking (irrespective of the type of spanking)? What is it about the implement that gives you that pleasure?

Two examples I can think of are my rubber paddle and heavy bath brush. The rubber paddle if floppy and a pain (figuratively) to use for self spanking, but I get pleasure from the sting I do get and the nice pattern of varying colors it leaves behind. The heavy bath brush just plain hurts like crazy, but I really like it. The pain and fire I know each swat will bring gives me a pleasurable feeling separate from my jumping around saying say ouch that hurts. How about you, what implements bring you pleasure and why?

There’s nothing pleasurable about the spankings I get.  The pleasure is only a fantasy beforehand.  ? Once the paddle strikes down, it’s all business.  But I get spanked with a large walnut paddle that that just feels right.  I don’t know if it’s the walnut wood or the shape or thickness or what, but it’s the right fit for me.  And I may be different than others, who like various implements throughout a session, but I don’t.  We started out that way but now use just the one.  Though it hurts, getting a spanking with the same paddle every time is somehow oddly comforting to me.

The rattan cane and sjambok. I love the types of pain I get from them but I also love the marks that they produce. For me, there's nothing more pleasurable than having deep purple bruising and welts from the sjambok. I love the lines which the cane produces... having bloody lines that develop into pretty bruises is just beautiful, for me. It's like a caterpillar developing into a butterfly... that metamorphosis just turns me on big time. Knowing that I can admire these marks for days/weeks afterwards is thrilling. Those beautiful marks are a gift, to me, a gift that 2 people can share... there's no other intimacy that compares. And yes, I know that I'm pretty fucked-up?

I do not bruise like that, and can't have marks; but your not f'ed up at all. Somehow that makes perfect sense to me. I'm glad that you can get that gift, and enjoy and appreciate it. 

I consider my spankings I gift I can give to myself. Makes perfect sense.

The cane is my favorite for erotic play - but I don't mark in the same way as sassy. I definitely get raised welts and can have some bruising and marks that last several days - but that is it. A switch always leaves nice marks, too - and can be very sensual. I don't find many wooden implements to be erotic.

Thank-you? It takes more to bruise and mark me these days but where there's a will, there's a way! I'm lucky that I have a Dom, to play with, who loves marking me as much as I love being marked. He does what has to be done to make my bottom a pretty masterpiece! Not everyone is in the position to be able to get away with being marked.

And you are right, your spankings are a gift to yourself and if you are anything like me... that's the best gift that you or anyone can give you. Not everyone understands this so it's always nice when some-one else gets it too.

Oh they definitely are the best gift, especially when I'm stressed, but really anytime. You're right that not everyone understands that even within this world, and some less so with self spanking. There is however no way I can deny the value, and the pleasure, they bring.
