Wetting butt before spanking- warm or cold?

For those of you who wet your spankee’s bottom before punishment, what type of water do you use? Warm or cold?
What type of implements do you use on a wet butt? 

 

Spankees, what hurts more? Spanking over warm or cold water? What implements hurt most over a wet butt?

I have made my spankee take a cold shower (not ice cold, just a little colder than cool) and spank her before she dry off. Also have spanker her while we both were in warm shower.

I don't think it matters if it's cold or warm water. When being spanked the sting is just the same. I'd likely say an wood implement, like a brush, would likely sting the most with wet skin.

Thank you, @Child of Light. Do you think that water would magnify the sting felt by a wooden spoon?

What about a leather short home-made strap or a belt?

Also, in your experience how water affect bruising or welts if at all?

Water will do in a pinch but I prefer using the non-greasy creams or oils or lotions. I never want my hand to slip. 😁

A little warm water before dishing out a little discipline with the bath brush is nice. And a woman's backside looks nice when it's been smacked rosy red and has that wet sheen.
