I haven't noticed that. I grew up in a family that was very religiously conservative, but we were taught that voting was a sin, so we had no real political alignment. My mom doesn't care for any of the politicians, and I guess that, despite being religious, I believe everyone else should be free to do his or her own thing. So, no, probably not conservative.

I do not vote straight party line, but in general I guess I would be tagged as conservative politically. My husband would fall the same too I think. However, my husband does not dictate my political choices at all...it is just that on most issues we happen to be in sync. I am probably a tad bit more liberal compared to him.

I'm pretty liberal on most political questions, but I'm a spankee only, and so I can't answer both sections of the quiz. The page won't let me answer just my section, so I can't really contribute to the poll. Oh, well. :P

I do my best to stay out of politics. I have my views, but I tend to avoid discussions and just keep them to myself...so I vote neither.

Me? I'm a liberal Democrat born in the heart of Kennedy country 63 years ago. I don't have much use for today's convervatives or the GOP as a whole. I HAVE found that more that a few conservative women tend to carry a lot of guilt around with them. But liberal or not, any young lady that wants, knows and craves a sound bare bottom spanking, strapping, paddling or switching is OK in my book!

Difficult for me to answer really. In the UK conservative and liberal are fairly close. In fact we have a useless coalition conservative liberal goverment. I'd describe myself as a libertarian socialist.

Honestly not sure what I am. I believe people should be free to live as long as they are not harming others with the way they do so.

I think that question is interesting. It is my opinion that people now need to categorize more than they used to. When I was growing up before the Drudge Report and Huffington Post we didn't really have those labels in the spotlight very often. It's not that they didn't exist but rather that we didn't always see issues as a liberal or conservative matter.

I also think those labels are a bit misleading. The same person that is against birth control might also support social welfare programs for example. We are pressured now to take a side and stick with it and that weakens us.

All that aside I am left leaning in most things, however I draw the line at shopping at Whole Foods and wearing sandals in public. That being said, I do have to admit that conservatives have the whole spanking thing down pat. No cutie pie leather slappers with red hearts for them, they go old school with well worn leather and sturdy paddles.

What is a libertarian socialist? Seems like two opposite ends of the spectrum.

Card-carrying democrat and athiest here. But I do like the idea of a religious tea party person trying to "bring me to Jesus" with his belt. It wouldn't work, but it could be fun!

I lean leftward politically. Most people would describe me as quite religious and I am a regular church-goer, but I am passionate about social justice and consider myself to be a religious humanist. I enjoy diversity and have good friends of all different political and spiritual persuasions -- diversity makes life much more fun and interesting, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Quite liberal in most respects, but labels in politics just like labels in the lifestyle or in spirituality are very limiting. I am very liberal in the use of my hand in reddening naughty bottoms however lol

i can't speculate about anyone else, though i've always thought kinky, and especially paddling, camped mostly on the conservative side. I like the way you put it, Heatmaker, "old school...leather...sturdy paddles." Seems to fit my needs; i prefer very serious paddling with paddles and straps. i've always admired the paddle you hold in your profile pic, Mr. Heatmaker, but i'll probably never know how much it hurts.

This poll in my opinion is ambiguous. I am a spanker. Politically I am conservative, but I as a Spanker, I am very liberal. Just ask any naughty bottom that has found themselves over my lap

Well just because you are an atheist, doesn't mean a "Come to Jesus" conversation will definitely have you begging for mercy from, or praying to any deity that might or might not be available to rescue you. Either way, could definitely be fun.

Can someone please explain to me why conservative and liberal are the only two options?

I mean, I get that people love to call liberals Communists, but I know I'm not a liberal and object to being identified as one. I know Sam Webb and the current Party are basically the slightly-left-of-Democrats Party now, but that ain't me.

I'd say they could all use a good spanking for their revisionism, but I feel like I'm speaking Greek.

More centrist personally, given to individual liberty but personal issues aside (or perhaps because) with those who feel freedom is midway between total confirmity and anarchist licence that needs much personal responsibility and that's a problem for a good number of folk..
