Good news for my mother-in-law and me and really, our business too!  Today she successfully passed her exam and was recognized as fulfilling all requirements to be a Licensed Massage Therapist!  We are all happy for her. The plan all along was for her to achieve this and join our team here at the fitness center. It will really help us offer more massage sessions and will probably lighten my load some as well. She will start being worked into the schedule next week and eventually will fevelop her own client base.

Another part of this celebration...is that she had tried this exam earlier this year and did not pass. It meant she wasted $500, which was the fee.  She told me she got a pretty severe belt spanking from her husband because of that. It also meant she had to pay another $500 fee to retake the exam after a waiting period. So...she had been warned in no uncertain terms that if she failed again...she could expect an even more severe spanking than the previous. I know when shared that with me, she was indeed concerned.  

Since then, she has worked very hard to prepare. I have spent time coaching her in the exam content as well. She is very smart. I think she just underestimated the comprehensiveness of the exam the first time. But...not today. She nailed it!  And...no sore butt and sleeping on her tummy tonight as well.
